Was wondering if anyone has any info on this gun and an est. value. It's in pretty good condition other than the forend being a little loose and some minor scratches.

Anyone else have any info ?0 -
the 290 is the DELUXE edition of the standard model 190...
its worth about $125.00 in NRA EXCELLANT condition...
there are several small internal parts that can fail if not maintained correctly...
its a royal pain to break down completely and reassemble correctly...
if maintained right, and in good shape they are tack drivers at 50 and 100 yds...
at least as good as the MARLIN MODEL 60 or the RUGER 10-22 in the accuracy dept. ...
my dad has a 190 in near perfect / almost NIB condition and we love it...
it has its detractors.
best regards, mike.

Yep and on the 190 too.
That maybe the cause of your loose forearm.
I put loctite on my barrel nut
