Interested in a mount that you can use any Weaver-style rings and accessories on? I do not know about these, but have been thinking about getting it and trying it out.

Suspension : try asking around your local gun shops for new and or used sets , I believe the set you want also fits on the Mini 14/30 and the 77/22

Pickup: i have used 2 sets of weigand bases, one on a Super Redhawk 454 and the other on a Super Blackhawk 44 mag both worked just fine , they are very good [;)]

    Thanks guys!
gskyhawk, from what Ruger's site shows the mini 14-30 and 77/22 use the same rings, but the Super Redhawk uses a different one.
I can't believe I never tried Ruger's site, thanks duckhunter! $76.25 seems a bit steep, but at least I have a fall back.

Valley Firearms, are yours brand new? e-mail me $$. or are they listed on GB?

pickenup, I like the looks of that weigand, plus gskyhawk backed it up. Might have to go that route instead, thanks for the site.

Suspension i sorry i didn't read you title close enough , I was looking at your first sentence where you just say Redhawk, so i was thinking of the plain Redhawk not the Super Redhawk [:I]

by the way if you want a used base i think i still have mine off of my SRH 454 , i don't think i'll ever use it again

Hold the presses! Before you buy anything, answer this question: Did you purchased this gun "somewhere" and it did not include the scope rings? I believe these guns do come with the rings included. Some time ago I had the same situation with a Ruger 77 rifle (stainless steel) where I was missing the rings/mounts. I contacted Ruger and provided them with a copy of my purchase/bill of sale with the serial number. Upon receipt, Ruger's customer service sent me "free of charge" a new set of stainless steel rings. Very nice of them, and prompts me to consider promoting their products and buying them again. No loss in trying this.

I bought it rather cheap at a show off an individual so I didn't say much about it not having a scope or rings. [;)]

gskyhawk, I'll keep that base in mind. thanks!
