.22 Mountain Eagle ?'s
Hello again knowledgable folks. I picked up a Magnum Research Mountain Eagle pistol .22lr and was wondering if there is a place on the web that I could get a parts breakdown/disassembly intructions. Mag research has no info that I saw on their site, and a search here only found 1 post w/ no tech info on the gun.
Aside from that any comments/info about the gun itself would be appreciated (i.e. for how long was it made/is someone else making them now, etc).
Thanks in advance!

They were made from 1992-1996. They were made for Magnum Research by Ram-Line. They were offered in several barrel lengths: 4.5", 6", 6.5", and 8". They were basically the same as the Ram-Line Exactor or Ramtech pistol. Loosely based on the Ruger MkII, the Mountain Eagle comes apart more easily. Remove the allen screw at the rear above the grip. This will allow the upper and lower to seperate. From there remove the bolt and clean as you would most guns. Re-assemble in reverse order.
The gun is not currently being made by anyone. The magazines are getting hard to find, but I still have some available for sale. Let me know if there are any other questions.

I may be interested in replacing the front sight/blade (mine is cracked and loose) if there were such parts available. Mine is a hi-vis orange, would be interested in a black replacement one.
It is a fun gun to shoot, I bought it mostly for throwing in a backpack for hikes etc.
Thanks for the info0 -
The orange sight was standard. Unfortunately I am not aware of any generally available replacement parts. I wouldn't expect them to have anything on their web site, but you might want to contact Magnum Research directly by phone. They might have some parts still available or at least be able to direct you to where there might be some. 0 -
