U.S. army issued sniper rifle. Wondering the price range and the history on it.

I was given my father inlaws win. model 70 30-06. My Mother inlaw
said that she bought it new in the early 60's the serial number is 910501 can anyone tell me if it is a pre-64 or not.

My 225 Varmint Md 70 is in the 720,000 range and was, as near as
I can figure made in 1964, the first year of production. Something in the 900,000's is likely closer to 1968, though I cannot check that as I'm "working" today, and don't have my books handy.
