how accurate is the marlin model 7000(out of the box, with a scope)????, and also the marlin model 980v?

  I am very pleased with mine. After shooting about 20 different brands and types, all of which shot quite well, I found a brand that would consistently shoot 10 shots that can be totally covered with a dime at 25 yards, when I do my part. Very reliable and with the short barrel, handy. I like it better than any 10/22 I have shot. Of course I, generally speaking, don't like Ruger, period.
