Anyone have any information on the availability of a 1:7 twist barrel for a 10/22. Something that will stabilize the 60 gr Aguila SSS loads.

Pull your stock off. If you see a "V" block with 2 screws in it. Then all you got to do is pull the 2 screws. The "V" block will come off then. With all of that out of the road the barrel should just pull off. Some are hard if they have not been cleaned in a while. Just remeber to lube with some oil or LIGHT grease before you reinstall.

    Hi Deer_sniper,

Removal of the 10/22 is very simple.

As stated by Ryan, remove the stock. Underneath the receiver, where the barrel is inserted, there will be two allen head screws. Use an Allen wrench to loosen both screws and a V-shaped metal block can be then be removed.

Twist the barrel from the receiver and insert the new barrel. If your rifle has been used for a while this is a good time to do some spring cleaning around the receiver area.

Replace the V-block and make certain to re-tighten both Allen head screws.

    Viola! Nothing to it.

As noted on the other post on this same item, don't over torque the screws or you can break the V block.
