Marlin 30A

I bought a Marlin Glenfield Mod30A- 30-30. Can any one tell what year was this rifle made? And where can i get on owners manual? And whjat scope do you recommend for hunting deer at 200 yards?

  Your gun was made between 1964 and 1983. In my opinion a good 2-7 x32mm scope will suit you fine, but I think 200 yards in streching that guns ability.
  
  It is easier to get forgiveness than permission.

  I have the same gun with a 4x on high rise mounts to use the iron sites also in the rough brush in PA. I agree that it is not suited for 200 yrds. Works great up to 100 yrds, then drops like a stone after that.
