Question on Garand imports?

I have a garand that is a SA reciever and has been rebarreled in 5-50 with a SA barrel, the serial number of the reciever indicates it was made in Jan '43. The rifle is very, very clean, it has been restocked or possibly had the stock refinished. The park is all good and all metal looks solid with a little lite pitting on the side of the gas tube.
I dont have the tool to measure throat wear but the barrel passes the bullet test with about 1/4" or more of bullet showing before the brass.
The rifleing is very strong and the barrel clean and shiny. The crown is very good with no obvious deformations or damage.


My question is this: The barrel has a very lite stamping of what appears to be "Arlington VA" ?, it also has a few other letters that are very hard to distinguish before the arlington stamp, it does not appear that they could be blue sky as the tops of the letters dont match that (the tops are about all you can see) and there doesnt appear to be enough to spell blue sky.

So, if it isnt blue sky(which I quess it could be somehow) then what is it?

I tried to take pics but the stamping is so lite they dont show.

Any ideas?

    You have a later imported Garand by Arlington Ordnance of Arlington, va, I believe this company was the suscessor to Blue Sky.

    Hangfire, definately not CAI , Looks like it could be and this is just a guess


    AR (then and I or L possibly) then a space and (C or G)then RO

    so it would look like this

    ARI or L C or G RO Arlington VA

    Yes, Blue Sky was the predecessor to Arlington Ordnance. DAYUM juju, I might have built that gun. Built many of them when I was apprenticing at Arlington Ordnance. There are quite a few out and about that would've had my prints on 'em. Always tried to use the best parts I could find.
    Quality, not quantity, was my motto. Used to irritate the boss a bit but he never got to the point where he told me not to take my time. I always made the deadlines though.
