I would not (Even as a TiG welder myself) Fatigue maybe the issue. Yes it might cure it for a few rounds. But what you can't see in the way of cracks could be bad news.

This is common problem with Enfields. The rings tend to be brittle.
Most often crack when the barrel is removed from the receiver.
There is no safe repair for the cracked ring.

Toss it into the Scrap heap.........Like the others said....a Cracked Ring is dangerous and not worth the risk......Best.....

Well, if you want to save it from the scrap bin you could always weld up the chamber re-blue it refinish the stock and hang it over the fireplace.[:)]

HKman has made an excellent suggestion.
The P-14 has a robust action. If the receiver has cracked in one place, you can be pretty sure you have a metal embrittlement problem throughout.0 -
tinman, Please don't try to repair the receiver. It's risky at best. Salvage the bolt, the others parts and either hang onto them or sell them. Jim 0 -
short answer... no. 0 -
I think that I will tie it to a tire with a string tied to the trigger and see if it blows up then send it back to the guy I just got it from on gunbroker thank you all, j.j.
