question about makarov pistol
Is there really any difference between the Russian or Bulgarian makarov? Is the quality the same? Also were would be the best place to find good deals on them?(besides gunbroker) Thanks everyone and merry christmas to all

The Russians have slightly better finish, especially the military models. Russians exist in more variants, too, so they are more collectable. Russian military ones are C&R eligible, but Bulgarians are not. Russians cannot be imported any more, so they have a higher rarity, now.
In terms of reliability, accuracy, or any other practical feature, they are identical.

I give the slight quality edge to the Russians and then the East Germans. The Bulgarian guns would run a close 3 rd, but close at that. The Commercial guns are better fit and finish than the military ones, but again, not a whole lot of difference. All the way across the board, these guns universally go bang when you pull the trigger.
