Go to the market and buy 3 or 4 of those 7 or 10 pound burlap bags of Basmati rice.
Don't eat the rice, just use them as they are.

They're lighter than sand bags, don't leak dust either.

If you have a really bad day shooting, go home and cook the rice.

My Wife Sewed Mine together... Old Livi's pants legs give me 8 Bags.. Takes Her about 30 minutes to cut and Sew and then I fill'em with Sand or Foam Pellets and She sew's the Hole shut by Hand.....Costs about 2 bucks for the Thread and an occasional Needle for Her Big Commercial CONSEW Sewing Machine....Sand is Free and Foam is always easily available.....Best....

Mine are the same as Captains and they've lasted for years. I ordered some new bags from Cabelas the other day I think they were Caswell's? they don't do any better than my Wrangler denim sand bags. If you don't have a natural source for the sand go to Home Depot for a 50lb bag of clean sand.

I use 25 lb. shot bags and fill them with washed sand that you buy for fish tanks and then have someone sew the end with heavy thread. I might have two laying about. If you want them let me know and I will send them to you.

Sand bags for rising creek/river water, Lowe's or Home Depot. Sand bags to use on the bench at the range is from the sporting goods store, such as Wiley's in northern Alabama.
