Rugerniner, a good K22 is worth $250 in my opinion. I own a couple and in the condition they are in, $250 would not get close to mine. Condition is the main thing here. If you do not take it at $250, send me a picture and I might be interested in it![;)] Always looking for GOOD 22s for our 4-H kids to use in competition at the right price.

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you.

It's a little bit different then the model 17.
The hammer is shapped differently and there is a large screw under the sight adjustment in the frame.

Up until the mid 1950's the various .22's built on the K Frame,i.e. Outdoorsman, Masterpiece, Combat Masterpiece & Military & Police had (5) screw frames with a upper sideplate screw under the rear sight.

The serial number you gave was made in 1949, the revolver appears to be a "Pre-Model 17" Model K-22 Masterpiece.

If it's in factory original, very good condition or better it would be worth more then $200. If he don't pay you back, you'll make out.
