Winchester 100 firing pin removal

    i'll assume you have the barreled action out of the stock; remove the gas cylinder retainer and pull the gas cylinder to the rear. look at the operating slide. the top of the slide will have a small 'notch', pull the slide back about 1" and you will see a small pin through the bottom of the receiver in this notch. push this pin out (loose fitting pin) while holding the operating slide (it's under spring tension). the bolt assy/operating slide will come off the rear of the action (you'll have to 'tip' the gas cylinder/piston up to cear the reciver). the firing pin is held in with a pin on the under side of the bolt (hold the f.p., it under spring tension also) this pin and the f.p. should come out easy but may be dinged up and need some force.
