    cheap,or nicer than cheap>?
The NEF handi-rifle is a fun little gun for just under 200.00.
On the other end of the scale would be the Shiloh Sharpes and their kind.very spendy and American made precision to boot. The Tang sight can set ya back a pretty penny if ur into the long range stuff.
In the middle are the Italian imports.About 800.00 or so.Cabellas has em in their catalong, and I imagine on their website as well.
a search of Gunbroker should show ya a good cross section of what is out there.

Throckmortons' the alias, cas is the game.

Yes... find an original Winchester Model 1885, or one of the modern made repros by either Browning or Winchester. The Ruger No. 1 is also a fine single-shot rifle.

NEF/H&R also makes the Buffalo Classic. I dont have any experience with them but it is on my list of furture purchases.
Looks like they're going for $300-$350 on the auction side.

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do;the fun is having lots to do and not doing it.

"NEF/H&R also makes the Buffalo Classic."
This is a rifle that I have been very curious about. H&R Doesn't have enough info on their site to suit me. And the only guy selling them here on GB don't answer questions.
I was wondering what the rate of twist was. About all that I have found out so far is that it looks like the rest of the line but has a 32" barrel length.
If any one gets one of these puppies please post the details and what you think of it.
