Rem Model 1100 Vent Rib

Can anyone tell me if a ventilated rib can be added to a Model 1100 that does not presently have one?

  Yes, you could pay someone to add a rib to your present barrel. I would suggest that it would be better to buy another barrel that has a rib. Check the GunBroker auctions.

  Welcome to the forum Saddleup! Simmons Gun Repair, the number one company for rib installations for shotguns, charges about $250. (From there 2002 price list). You can buy a new 1100 barrel with a factory rib and screw in chokes for about $175. There are quite a few used barrels on the market for less than that. Regards Dave

  I would buy a new barrel with the rib already on and that way in the future you still have the original barrel with out and mod.
