Model 41 cocking indicator?

Where is the cocking indicator located on the S&W 41 and what year or what serial numbers indicate if the gun has it or not? Is the gun more valuable with or wihtout it? Thanks!!

  early models had the ci. Visible on the back of the slide. more desireable by collectors than later models.

  The M41 (no suffix) has the ci. The M41-1, M41-2, etc does not have it. Sorry, I don't know the serial # cutoff.

  the cocking indicator sticks out the back of the gun where the hammer would normally be if it had one. see it?
