Rifle Chamber Size

Was wondering how to find out exactly the chamber size of a couple rifles.

    Make a chamber sasting with cerosafe, then take some measurements of the casting. Cerosafe available from Brownells.

    Lacking Cerrosafe, (about $10.00 per ? pound) you can also use candle wax or canning wax. (Paraffin wax in the U.S.)
    Melted sulfur is the classic dodge, and what everyone used for years, but folks nowadays are afraid of it. You can get powdered (flowers of) sulfur at farm and garden supply places. (It's for mildew on your roses).
    I have also fireformed an appropriate case to find interior dimensions. This has the advantage of showing headspace, and the disadvantage of spring-back error, and not showing the throat.
