38sa? caliber

I recently saw a semi auto pistol listed with the caliber being 38sa. My question is what is that caliber. Is it another term for 38 super? Pardon my ignorance. Your answers are greatly appreciated.

  Hmmmmm.....could be, but I've never come across a pistol marked that way.

  I've seen it a couple times .38 super auto.

  This caliber is usually referred to as the .38 Super, but as stated by tobefree, is also called the .38 Super Automatic. The .38 Super also comes in a +P loading.
  
  For many years this cartridge was the most powerful automatic pistol round in the US. Thompson submachine guns were also chambered in this round for a while.
