Ring lever infront of trigger.
I know I should know this one.....but. I have an old (1900s)12ga
single barrel shotgun..(stock shaped like an IJ champion) with
a ring inside the trigger guard that opens the breach. And it's
a take-down. The pin pulles out and breaks it in half.
No markings left...but it does have a number on the barrel lug.
Anyone have a clue[?]
thanks

this is the iver johnson semi-hammerless ejector model manufactured between 1897 and 1904. the removable hinge pin indicates it is the improved model 1900 manufactured 1901-1904. the iver johnson collectors call this the ring trigger model. this model was manufactured for black powder shells and should not be fired with modern ammo.
