I recently acquired a real nice Colt Police Positive Special in .38spcl. The serial number is 917498. Can anyone give me a date of mfg for this gun? I am just curious as to its age. Thanks, Don

Don.....your serial # should be preceeded by a "D".
D917498 was made in 1966.0 -
