ACCUBOND CT
NEW bullets ? I shoot deer using a 270 winchester ballistic tip. It seems to be working great. But i like to try new things. How bout some feedback on winchester's accubond ct bullets. Whats this tip do on impact.

Controlled expansion, great weight retention and fairly explosive in the boiler room from what I saw this season. Seems to be a good product from Nosler again.

It will work as good as a Ballistic Tip, it's just a lot tougher built is all.

"tougher", how? thicker jacket, steel base, just what?? will it hold on elk and moose??
SEMPER FI MAC, SEMPER FI0 -
7mm 160gr worked on my elk... 0 -
the jacket is thicker and the core is bonded by a proprietary process,..to the jacket as it is drawn. They work well,..I used 3 in WY this year,..great bullets. I use the non-coated because the lubalox just doesn't agree with my tubes.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
Got Balistics?0 -
Tryed some 160 gr. in my 7mm mag on Paper Very Acc. Rat said it worked on his Elk, Good to hear. 0 -
I shot a very large bull Elk this year with an Accubond 180 grain bullet out of my 30/06. Broadside shot 180 yards, high through shoulder blades and just caught the bottom of the vertabrae. Bullet did not exit found it just under the skin on the far side, Elk went right down. 114 grains remaining weight of the recovered slug. Good performance but I was surprised that it didn't exit. Nosler accomplishes the "tougher" bullet through their bonding process, dimensionally the Accubond is exactly the same as the Ballistic tip, but the lead core is "bonded" to the copper jacket. 0 -

as i remember, that was a large wapiti...what did it score?0 -
Hey Loveable Rat I never have measured that Bull. If I don't come up with a score pretty soon my brother and some friends are threatening to come over and score it themselves!
I have a Bighorn Sheep a Mountain Goat and an Antelope that are on the verge of book ( B&C )too that I've never put the tape on, guess I'm just odd that way. For me whether or not any of them make the book doesn't change my memory of each of those hunts and the fact that they are all trophies to me........irregardless of the numbers on the tape measure. Thanks for asking Rat, if I score it I'll try to let ya know.0 -

i hear that- it doesn't matter and in some ways, to me, demeans the hunt. but after all, its only a comparative # that seems to translate to other hunters, however poorly, an awesome animal...0
