muzzle loader problem

The plug at the end will unscrew with the right tools.Firing it with
110 grains of pyrodex shouldn't be a problem even with two patches
    wrapped around the ball.

Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

    sav 99,

make certain the ball is completely seated before you fire away. I regularly use patches that are much thicker than what you buy. I use heavy cotton patch material. it gives a better grouping.

I agree, as long as it is seated, fire away.
The breechplug does unscrew, but is a job for experts only.

You shouldn't have any problem as long as the ball and patch are seated snug against the powder charge. I've seen guy load 2 balls in a muzzle loader and believe it or not they will hit pretty close together out to 50 yards or so. I saw a cagy ol coot putting 2 unpatched balls per load in a rifle on a rapid fire 25 yard match one day. The target was a coon sillhoute and the only thing that counted was how many holes you could put in the coon in a timed 2 minutes. He won.
