Burris Signiature Ring Problems
I have a small gun shop and really like the Burris Signature rings with the nylon inserts. I think they solve a number of problems, especially for people who mount and bore sight lots of scopes. However, I have encountered one customer who shoots a lot of prairie dogs and has some very accurate rifles who swears that when he used two sets of the rings I sold him that they caused his rifles to shoot larger groups than before. I refunded his money, but I do not believe this. Has anyone else encountered this problem with the Signature rings?

I had a set on a custom rifle, Ruger action, put the Signiature Rings on it, could only get High Ones, I dont think they make med, or low rings for Rugers. Had problems grouping, Replaced them with ruger low mt's, Rifle shoots great. I dont know if it was becaues of the high rings or was it moving. never checked on movement. Your post has got me thinking. My Rifle is a custom tight neck 222. so no recoil to speak of. 0 -
If they were high mounts, they could easily cause his head to be lifted from a tight cheek weld to the stock and that will indeed affect accuracy. He may have found the right solution for the wrong reasons. 0
