Looking for a 300 weatherby mag....

Does any of these major U.S. rifle manufacturers (winchester-ruger-remington) chamber a Bolt gun in 300 weatherby mag? I spotted a used winchester model 70 in 300wby mag last year........I snoozed and lost[V]

  do you know why they call it a WEATHERBY mag... get a WEATHERBY rifle. there nice rifles.

  Sir, Winchester chambered the M70 Sporter in both blue and stainless steel versions in the 300 Weatherby, but discontinued them 2-4 years ago. These were the model with the claw extractor and were very nice guns. Ruger chambers their Number 1-B in the 300 Weatherby, but not any bolt guns. Remington made a run of 700 Classics as one of their yearly releases a few years ago, but at present do not offer any models unless you go to their custom shop. Unless you really want a 300 Weatherby, I would get a 300 Winchester Magnum in any of the above guns. It will get to within 100-150fps of the Weatherby and ammo is cheaper and easier to find.
