I've come across a 1911 grip frame marked Nat'l Ordnance. Is it any good? looks new.

    I was gifted an 45 with a frame marked "NATL ORD", it is sporting a Remington Rand slide. Hard to find info on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello there are many aftermarket frames and some are great and some are poor even made by the same co. Almost all are cast not foraged. being cast they may have air holes and the pin holes might be slightly off . If I had mt choice I would buy a Caspian or other frame that brownell sells but if you are going to BUILD a 1911 buy the parts you want and unless you "FIT/GRIND/FILE/MODIFY" them you can pratice on this frame and if it works great if not then buy a high dollar known good frame and the experiance will be worth the cost to you. quote:PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"
