I have a Rockola M1 Carbine with the barrel stamped.

    While cleaning my carbine I noticed that the barrel and receiver were stamped SAGINAW ??? GENERAL MOTORS. The trigger group is Inland and the slide has a big "Z" stamped on the bottom. Haven't seen many "Saginaw" carbines. Any collectors value? Think I got this probably 30 to 40 years ago thru DCM, but really not sure..

    We would need to see high quality photos of it, including parts that can't be seen without field stripping it. All stock markings are important. At this point, I would estimate it is worth in the $500-1,200 range.

    the value is based on it`s markings and if it is all original. there is a makers mark on all parts and it depends on the marks, as to the originality of the weapon, thus the value, condition plays a BIG part also!!! There were millions of Inlands made for wartime use, it is one of the list valuable carbines out there, not to say it is not valued highly, just not the same as a Rockola, winchester, Irwin Pederson, or National postal meter!!!! can you provide more info???
