Stock on a Bushmaster pistol?
First off, please, spare me any legal advice. I was just CURIOUS if it was physically possible for a stock to be attatched to the bushmaster ar-15 pistols. I realize this would, of course, make the firearm EVIL.[}:)] I have absolutely 0 intention on making said modification. I probably couldn't afford the stock, much less the gun. I was just surfing some listings, saw the gun, and wondered if they had made the addition of a stock impossible..

The Pistol spring tube is different and wont fit any kind of factory/standard stock. If you used a standard tube normal stocks will fit. I think if you use a standard spring tube it is considered a stock. Or you can do like I did, get an Olympic Arms upper, it needs no spring tube.[:D][:D][:D]

Nwcid, how does having an olypic arms upper change the need for a buffer tube on the lower receiver? this would be really cool but i seem to think the bolt carrier would have nowhere to ride. 0 -
The Oly OA series have a gas piston on top of the upper,
instead of the Colt type buffer & spring system.0 -

I know, I know, Hesse/Vulcan is not high on the quality list. But here a year or so ago when Hesse was showing their new composite fiber AR15 style pistol at the shot show, it had a rifle buffer tube. Oh, I think I remember an ATF letter indicating it didn't matter what trunion you had on an AK47 pistol, as long as you didn't own a buttstock. I will go try to find it. If that is the case, the type of buffer doesn't matter.

Here is is, it was on an AK discussion forum, but the letter pertains to AR15's. Obviously, the owner changed his name and address.
