Another ? about the semi-auto.
I forgot to mention I have a back problem! I owned for over 30 years a 870 12 ga and o Charles Daly o/u in 20 ga. Love them both! But I'm trying to get into something with less recoil,(semi-auto). Thank you all for your help! Jeronimo.

back problem? get a 410 or 28 ga.. 0 -
Your question seems too obvious and Bobski has the only obvious answer. The guages smaller than 20, and therefore lighter weight and less recoil are the 28 and .410. Not gonna work so well for turkey and you best be a good shot on pheasants and grouse, but they will be great for quail. 0 -
The LW or Std wt Rem 1100 in 20 gauge with target loads is very easy on the shoulder with no recoil pad. I imagine when using high speed loads and a recoil pad it would still be easy. 0
