    Carbines fall into 2 catagories.

1."Collector" guns where it is important to have all matching numbers, and correct parts. These may range in value up to $1,000.00 or more.

    2. "Shooter" guns where matching numbers does not matter. These usually run from $600.00 and up.

Without a picture it is hard to tell if yours is in original condition or has been refurbished. If you look under the rear sight you should find the manufacturers name and serial number.

If the bolt is blue, the gun has been refinished. Should be a greenish grey parkerised finish. $400-$550 depending on how nice, and how bad someone wants it.

The early flat bolts were originally blue.

    There's green/gray and black parkerizing on carbines. M1 & M2 bolts can be blue/black.
