BSA Contender Scope

I tried a couple. I had a 6x24x40 "platinum" scope, the top of their line, sold it. I still have a 4x16x40AO contender, it is just a basic target scope. I wouldn't put it on a hunting rifle that I was taking out in the wet and wild. But, for range work it has held up ok for the last 3 or 4 years. If you are thinking varmint scope or the like, I'd recomend saving up and getting somethin better.

I have a plat 8-32x44 on a ruger 77 7mm rem mag. No complaints so far. But I've only fired around 80 rounds thru it.

They made a super motorcycle, but their scopes leave a lot to be desired.
Save your money and buy a better one.

Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

I agree with mrbruce. They are low priced and low quality. Terrible glass. In optics more than most things, you get what you pay for and pay for what you get. Save your nickels, be patient and buy something better.
