It is junk. If you need further confirmation, but "point" into the search engine for the Experts forum. This question has been asked and answered a dozen times.

Junk with a capitol J. If he's lookin for cheap then dont forget about makorov, or CZ52. First of all everyone on here likes them, and the biggest factor is that they look like a real firearm. Unlike the BUTTugly hipoints.

Big time junk. I bought one several years ago. Very loud...very very very loud. Harsh recoil, heavy as a lead brick. A better alternative is the inexpensive S&W 9mm or .40 cal. They can be bought for $250 or so everywhere I've seen them. I dont have the model number, but the upper is olive drab on most.

or an older smith or taurus revolver. 0 -
I'll second Beeramid on the CZ52 idea.
I finally picked one up Saturday for $129,which is the best price I've seen on one around here.
It's a blast to shoot and has to be a better investment than a Hi-Point.

Yes , Junk is putting it mildly ...I even refuse to try and "smith" on these such items ...Only one positive thing is , if they do break (or I should say When they break) , one can return them to the current 'factory' for 'service' (usually replacement).........
junk !!!!!!!!!!!0 -
JUNK JUNK the guys above me are right, tell him to get a cz52 0 -
if price is an issue the Kel Tec 9mm when broke in is awesome back up....they give super fast support and don't try to empty your wallet...they can handle +P rounds and I put about 400 thru mine considering i only paid $ 229 brand new i bought a 40 S&W model and the carbine....many accesories are available but the reliability ang guarantee is invaluable plus the 9mm is cheap just shooting ball ammo like wolf or independence.......Kel Tec is up and coming...doubters call them in Cocoa Florida i don't work for them just military pilot,DIA pilot, DEA,pilot and local law till some power lines caught me..lost a crewmember...so if you don't agree w/ me blame it on hitting my head DFC receipient GW1 0 -
I rather have the pastic bag that the high point comes in, than the gun, at least the pastic bag is usable!!!!! 0
