This would be Swedish made steel, and much like Krupps and some others they were considered to be of superior grain structure etc. to their contemporary competition. There were then, and are now foundries throughout the world where the metalurgists really know their craft, and create a somewhat superior product. My thoughts on this run along the arguement of Cadillac vs. Bentley. The Cad is a very nice, refined and elegant touring car, whereas the Bentley purports to be all that AND more. Both will get you there in style and grace, but the Bentley will have more of a "Wow" effect and costs you more proportionately for it. The Bentley is also likely more solid and durable, but for the 3 times price tag, are you the kind of person who feels inclined to go for a name and a slight performance advantage, or the nice car that gets the job done and looks good doing it?
