1x-4x Leupold Vari - X II - What's the value?
I just aquired a variable 1x-4x-20 Leupold Vari-X II scope on Weaver mounts that tip to the left side for iron sight use, that I probably will not use. Looking for a value to use in a trade or outright sale. Do I use patent numbers or are there printed value guides for these items?

Find out what the current rendition of that scope is selling for and figure that you should be able to demand something like 2/3 or 3/4 of that value. At a guess the new VX-II are running at like $250 so maybe like $200 would be reasonable. Look it up on the auction site and go from there. Personally I'd keep it, that is one of the very most basic scopes for using in close cover or on hard kicking rifles. 0 -
The 1X4 Leupold is also an excellent scope for .22 rifles. Parallax is adjustable and rarely does a .22 need more than 4 power for hunting or plinking. (As a matter of fact, except for ultra long shooting, what gun does?) I have one on one of my Win. model 61's. It's size doesn't overpower the gun's looks and it works wonderfully. -Asa 0 -
I agree, But my .22's are all taken care of right now & I would really like to get into reloading.
