Would you happen to know anything about 1911's 45 Military
matching ###S but seem to be world War 1 reworks ...On gun it has (AA).But I was told by A gun dealer that he has never seen any 1911'S for this year that were this clean!!
Also in the group is a (Ace 22 1911)
training pistol One 45 is a RemingtonRan The Other is a Colt.
I beleive the date on guns is 1913 (USA)
Any info would be great.

    I am not a big pistol guy, but I have a request for some info/recommendation. Budget is around $800.00. How do you compare the Ruger vs the Remington. (45ACP)---I'm mostly interested in function/reliability. Any other brand would be fine, but, again I'm not an expert in handguns. Your thoughts please. THX GUYS

    There are some bonafide 1911 experts who can give you a lot more information than this, and can even date your pistol, but I happen to know that a lot of early-times 1911s were reconditioned. The AA stamp represents one of two or maybe more armories that did the reconditioning work. If yours has a matte finish, it was probably reworked at the armory sometime after October 1, 1941 ...

    need a bit more information ,define each one "individually" ,and provide all but the last two serial numbers ,I can tell you a bit more ,maybe a lot more

    Ok I don't know if this well help but here go's
    1.us army modell 1911 --no.488004colt pt f.a.mfg co
    in original box with three clips

    2.Remington Rand us goverment no.191474 in original box

    3.Colt Service Model
    ACE 22 long in box no clip---SM12906
    All three Guns are in 90 % range

    4.Smith & wesson Model 10 38 specail.----0n the handle next to swivil clip #10206 in about 70 %

    Hello i think you have serial # messed we need the correct number of digits if you don't want to give total number sub x for last 2 digits example instead of 151334 you can put 1513XX. dont just leave out numbers example 151334 does not equal 1513. Your rem rand if it is 191474X it would be a 1911a1 from 1944 if it is just 191474 then it would be a colt frame 1911 made in 1917 with a WW 2 REM RAND slide colt 488004 would be 1918 and sm12906 is 1945

    When I suggested leaving out the last two digits ,I assumed you would put in the x's ,sorry if I didn't make it clear


    Yes 191474x is a 1944 Remington rand production issued to the ordinance dept. in France ,the slide stop and mainspring should be serrated ,the hammer and thumb safety should be checkered ,and have keys grip ,they look like plastic but are bakelite {can be very brittle} ,to have original parts ,you stated you have the original box ,it should have two magazines with a letter on the top of each lip ,the box should also have the label on the top ,if you have all the original parts it can fetch a nice price ,more so depending on the proof/armory marks ,there is one on gb asking I think 3,900 ,not that it will get that


    Need to know how many digits for the rest of them ,this topic will be closed after ten replies ,so if you can just edit what you have put up
