Savage Springfield Model 67 field strip?

I was trying to break it down and I've run into a problem. I removed the trigger gaurd screw and thats as far as I've gotten with it. There is also a trigger gaurd pin that I can't seem to tap out. Any suggestions on how to finish this process would be appreciated. Thanks for any input with this problem..

  I have a 67F 3" 20ga and a 67E .410.
  In 20+ years of use I have never had a need to break either one down.
  
  But... here is a exploded drawing that should help if you really need to brreak it down.

  All I really wanted to do was take out the bolt and give it a good cleaning inside the reciever. Its got a lot of burned powder gummed up inside. Now all I want to do is get it put back together. I dosen't seem like this gun was made to be taken down. I found a loose spring in it last night and think I know where it goes. Guess I'll just keep fiddeling with it tryin to get it put back together. I've seen the diagram but I'm still having trouble. Thanks for the input.
