Weatherby Centurion Ducks Unlimited Value

My dad has a Weaterby Centurion Ducks Unlimited that he inherited from his dad (my Grandpa) No body in the family knew that he had the gun. Any way it has never been fired and is a beautiful gun with silver inlay geese on each side of the gun. It is a 12g with a fixed full choke barrel. Grandpa told dad that the gun has no senimental value to him and that if dad wanted to get rid of it or trade it for a different gun he would not be upset at all. A friend of my grandpa's willed him the gun when he passed away. Well dad is in a bind, he dosn't know what the gun is worth, I can't find much on the auctions for a Weatherby DU shotgun at all. So I thought I would start here and see what you guys think. One other option that dad was thinking about doing was sending the gun to Briley to have Choke tubes installed on it so that he could use it for Goose hunting. But if the gun is worth too much and it would harm the value by shooting it or having tubes put in to it he would just trade it off or sell it. If you have any information on this gun PLEASE pass it on. THANKS!!!

    Sorry Bosty, I would'nt be able to give you accurate info without some research myself. But I'm sure someone will be along shortly who can help you out. I would hate to guess and give you some bad info.

    Having no idea whether field or deluxe grade I can only share that the gun will sell for less than $400.00 retail. D/U will add nothing to the value of this piece.

    My best guess is that anything over the $350.00 mark is probably reasonable. A nice shooter and a good gun, but nothing of interest to a collector as a general rule.
