CZ 75 info?

Looking to buy my first handgun. Most likely will be sig p229 in 40s&w, but not final yet, I just want to be sure. Recently heard of the CZ 75 B in 40s&w and the CZ 100 in 40s&w, heard they are good guns and wanted to get some general info from you all. Also looking at beretta 96 vecter too.

    I have a CZ 75 BSA, some Sigs and a Beretta 92F. They are all good guns.

    I would suggest going to a range that rents guns, rent one of each and shoot them, then decide. That way you can get some actual "hands on" experience before you invest the money.

    I've shot a sig p228 and a beretta 96, like them both I'm just assuming the p228 is very similar to the p229? Would like to shoot the CZ. Another question is what is the difference between the CZ- 75 B and the CZ-75 BSA?

    I agree with L.L. If you have it narrowed to just three by their reliability factors, then you just need to go down to the local range and see which one feels the best to you. Because you could have a thousand people who like a certain gun, but that does'nt mean that you are going to like it.
    Example- I'm a big H&K fan, but the most comfortable pistol that I shoot is my Taurus PT-99 with Pachmayr grips. So don't always go by what you here, feel them out for yourself. GOOD LUCK!!![:D]

    Not sure the difference between the CZ- 75 B and the CZ-75 BSA, however I would recomend you get the CZ-75 with the decocker.

    The standard CZ75 does not have the decocker, which is fine if you don't mind carrying cocked and locked. You can manually lower the hammer (by pulling the trigger and holding the hammer) on a live round and carry safety on but I just cringe doing that.

    Thanks for the info. I have medium sized hands and no pistol fits them like the CZ-75. I really like the CZ-75 Compact. CZ offers two versions of the compact. One has the decocker and the add didn't say what the other has. Now I know. I too own a SIG (229 in .40). Don't get me wrong, I love the SIGS, but I can get a new CZ-75 Compact for around $396.00. The SIGs are just too expensive for many of us.

    CDNN Investments has some deals going on used cop trade in Sigs right now. They 220's & 226's for about $369.

    Just thought of what CZ75BSA mean. SA I believe means sigle action.
