Most rounds fired through Super Blackhawk?

Being 95% truthful what's the most rounds that someone here has fired through the same .44 Super (New or Old Model)without repair?

    I believe I got mine in 1978... My wife gave it to me for my birthday (after consulting with my podnuhs).

    I checked my reloading notebook and came up with 1050 44 Mag loads.
    It looks like there were about 200 to 250 'storebought' rounds, and there are some live rounds in the cabinet.

    I'm being 100% TRUTHFULL, but maybe only 95% accurate when I say about 1250 rounds that I can account for. About 20% of those were 'light' rounds, 50% were 'healthy', and 30% were 'full house' magnum loads.

    I did not crunch the numbers but less than half were 240gr JHP or FMJ, more than half were lead SWC 230gr or 255gr w/gc. I still have my original box of 180gr JHP, my Super Blackhawk in 7.5" did not do very well with them.

    I picked up another in very good condition about 2 years ago, but have only fired about 100 rounds through that one. I put Pachmyer grips on both of them to cover that dang square back end of the trigger guard, and give a little bigger/softer grip surface.

    My 'original new' one still shoots great, no repairs (but I changed the rear sight). The second one shoots well, and it does not appear to have been used much.

    Thanks for the responses. I'd always used a Model 29, but switched to the Ruger a while ago. My 29 was 8 and 3/8" and developed timing problems BUT, I bought it used 20 years ago and it had definitely already been shot quite a bit. I fired over 1500 full charge Keith loads with 22 gr of 2400. My brother also had it in Alaska for two years but only fired 100 rounds of factory stuff (all at rocks, no grisleys) I'm assuming the Ruger is near indestrubable with sensible loads.

    "Nearly" being the operative word here! I had a Redhawk come apart on me once due to a casting/forging defect. Ruger made it right and blueprinted the gun (a friends) while they were at it! They are tough as hell and I was impressed with their customer service!

    Although it's not a SUper, my Dad bought a flat-top Blackhawk new, it passed to me in 1998, and I still fire it (a lot!) every time I go to the range. I don't think I could count the rounds that have gone through that gun. I have a .50 cal ammo can about 3/4 full of empty cases, thugh, all .357. I give the .38 cases to a guy who is always at the range.

    I have a new Model that I bought used in 1975. I have put at least 5000 full power rounds thru it. I used it for long range pistol competition for several years. I do believe that I have replaced every screw in it about twice. They do vibrate out and need to be replaced periodically to keep them tight. I have never had anything break on it and it still shoots well.

    Probably one of the toughest larger bore hand guns made. I have a habit to push and it keeps pushing back. Alot of hvy. loads and it really handles them. New model bought in 1990. Probably 3,000 rds.

    back in about 1975 I asked my local gun smith what brand of pistol to buy, Said all were good but didn't know any thing about Ruger Blk Hawk's, NEVER HAD WORKED ON ONE. I have Smiths one browning and one Colt but a lot of Ruger Blk Hawks, never had a problem with Rugers and Like shooting them more than the others. BEST REVOLVER'S ON THE MARKET[:D][:D][:D]
