Anybody own one of these? 18+1 capacity and polymer construction.
Any opinions on shootability? What is a reasonable price range?

Have you handled it yet, or fired it? I sold a couple and owned one in the 80's when they discontinued them.I thought they were bulky and awkward. The DAO trigger was terrible. I never really did see if it was accurate since I didn't care....the overall feel turned me off.They were however like all H&K's, totally reliable. No idea on current value.

I have always read that the trigger pull required A LOT of muscle!
Other than trigger pull, what else?

I don't know what else to tell you other than in addition to my complaints in my first post I just thought they looked silly. Kinda like a toy gun out of Buck Rogers.
Having seen the guns you own, I can't imagine you would be pleased having it in your collection at any price.
You'd have to get it a seperate safe so it wouldn't embarrass its P7 distant cousin!!!...[8D]

Price is usually around $500+ for one in good+ condition.
IMHO the value is based on collectability only. In my experiance its a very natural pointing weapon and feels good in the grip ... but the trigger! You loose your sight picture just trying to pull it!
Glock owners hate it but the VP70 is the original polymer pistol [}:)]
Trigger does suck, but with the right accessories they make great wallpaper [8D]

IIRC, didn't they have a version where if you attach a removable stock, the gun had 3-round burst capability? 0 -
Thanks guys! I understand Wolfe makes a trigger spring set that brings it down to 13-14 lbs. That's getting close to my USP Tactical.
Maybe a P9S instead...
