Thats like "how long is a piece of string" !!!
I GUESS you mean a Colt 1st (or 2nd? or 3rd?) Model Derringer. These fetch anything from less than $100 to over $5000. All depends on which model - condition - special features (engraving etc), and so on and on and on.
As previous reply said - you must provide more info - and pictures if posible, to get a decent answer.

Sorry Kelly! We sometimes just take things for granted that we should not! There are more than a few ladies on the forum here, so accept our collective apologies. Sounds likethe single shot derringer type to me, I'll get busy on the books when I get home...IF I get out of this dump sometime in the next few hours!!!

Madhorse - that narrows it down a little, but there are still a number of variants within the "second model derringer" category. Your gun should look like the one at this site:
http://www.butterfields.com/areas/arms/7436a/detail/7436a-2321.htm
As you'll see that one is estimated at $750 - $1000. Its a very good condition standard version.
Flaydermans quote from $400 and $1400 for the standard, but up to $2750 for others (or heaven knows where for a rare silver framed version)
Blue Book quotes $475 to $1775
A good description of you gun's condition would help narrow it down. Ideally relate condition to the NRA standards - found at
http://nra.nationalfirearms.museum/collector/condition.asp
If you have a photo, email it to me, then I can post it for you so others can help more.
