G.41 WWII semi auto Greman rifle?
I have a G.41 semi rifle & I am trying to find the value of the gun.I have seen similar guns go for $2500 to $5000 on the web my gun is in excellent condition & is marked on the reciever G.41 2002 I will try to post some pics as well tonight,How would I go about selling it?Is there a big demand on this rifle? is it a rare firearm?

These and the later G/K/43's are indeed VERY collectable! The G41 is much different in virtually every respect when compared to the G43, the later being on a different operating system and much more crude and production expedient oriented. They did not make that many G41's befor deciding on the G43 rifle, so any of the G41's around in good or better condition will bring a really exorbitant price! DO NOT SELL THIS GUN WITHOUT DOING A GOOD DEAL MORE RESEARCH OR SECURING A FACE TO FACE, COMPETANT APPRAISSAL!!!!! There are likely 20 guys on this forum alone (myself at the top of the list!) who would go one step short of selling their Mom to have a good G41. There are several books available thatcover both of the rifles mentioned, and I would think that the $50 investment in one of those tomes would be money well spent. I cannot comment too much without seeing pictures, but you could well be sitting on several thousand dollars worth of rifle there. Originality is the key to this and many other collectable weapons, so with any degree of luck, your's is still unaltered. Congratulations on a real coup!
On a different note, I'm not aware of how you came by this weapon, but if it was a vet bringback from someone in your family, I would not part with it for Love nor Money. There will be very few if any of these guns "discovered" lying about in a warehouse, so they will do nothing but get rarer and more valuable over the years. Unless you have NO interest in firearms or WWII history, I would not part with it. If you are set on the idea of selling it, you have already started down the right path by checking the auction sites to see what other, similar rifles are going for. I'm so jealous!!! Congrats again!!!

Thanks for the info. this gun has been in the family since the late 40's ,it was given in barter to my grandad,it is in perfect condition it is only missing the piece that goes under the barrel some type of rod I think & I seen some with a hooded site mine don't have one,I will try to post some pics I'm glad I did some research I thought it was worth a couple of hundred bucks MAN WHAT A SURPRISE!!!! 0 -

There are two very distinct G41's. There is the G41(W) which was created by Walther. This is the most common type. Walther (code ac) and Lubecker (code duv, of which my example is one) produced the 41(W). It is very similar to the later G43.
The other extremely rare type is the G41(M). This one was made by Mauser only and can be identified by the conventional bolt handle operation. It is in effect a semiautomatic bolt action. Only a few thousand of these were produced and extremely rare anywhere. My 3000 range example was traced to a U-boat that made it to a South American country at the close of the war.
1KYDSTR is correct about them being valuable. The 41(W)'s are pretty easy to find, but I have only seen one other 41(M) for sale and it sometimes shows (or used to) up on GB with a starting price in excess of $8,000.
The best reference book to date is HITLERS GARANDS.
