Merwin,Hulbert Revolvers
I have aquired a 32 Cal. Merwin, Hulbert Double Action Revolver. It has the original box and appears to be in new-unfired condition. I have been unable to find a value or any additional information. Any help about the value would be appreciated. Thank you!

You will have to post a picture, plus glean any and all information listed/stamped into the pistol, and post that back here to us. There were a number of different Merwin hulbert Owls' Head revolvers made and it will take some doing to determine just which one you have. These can be VERY collectable pistols, and a true unfired specimen of MOST of their various designs would garner a hell of a price!

The .44 cal. in vert gd, cond't were going for $3,000 to $4,000 on some of ant. gun sites I.E. www.armchairgunsnow.com, www.collectorsfirearms.com there are others avail. also. Poke around a little and good luck. Stay Safe 0 -
O.K., to start the Box says: Merwin,Hulbert & Co's Automatic 32 Cal. Revolver Double Action. 3 inch Folding Hammer. It has a nickle finish that is almost flawless. The only marking on the gun is 32 Cal on the outside of the frame and 1069 on the inside in front of the cylinder. There is a very nice diagram of the pistol on the inside cover of the box with directions for manipulating the Arm. I'm new at this, how do I post a picture here, or I could e-mail a digital picture tomorrow. Thanks again

O.K., me again, after going to an auction site I don't believe that the pistol I have has the folding hammer. The box says folding hammer but i don't believe that the hammer folds. WoW! The one pictured was in pretty poor looking shape and the asking bid price was $750. I had no idea!

OK, here's some info. Your Merwin, Hulbert revolver was actually made by Hopkins & Allen in Norwich, CT.
If it's a 7-shot in .32, you have a Medium Frame DA Pocket Model:
100% - $1,100
98% - $875
95% - $675
90% - $625
If it's a 5-shooter, you have the Small Frame DA Pocket Model:
100% - $950
98% - $775
95% - $500
90% - $450

I have some good digital pictures of the pistol, it's a 5 shot, and I could use some help determining condition. My local gunsmith/dealer says it looks unfired and near perfect. I would like more opinions. I plan on selling the gun and I don't want to misrepresent the condition.
