OK for CA or no? I have a friend looking to buy one but we are both unsure if it falls under the CA AW ban?

  It is not an assault weapon in calif. I bought one a couple years ago, and the paper work was the same as a regular rifle. I live in Cal.
  
  A funny thing about rifle paper work here in Cal is there is no description of the make, model or caliber of the gun. It just shows that a transaction occurred with a long gun, no mention of action type, ie, bolt, semi-auto, belt fed, tube mag etc.
