    Walnut or laminated birch
These have to be finished but they are probably the best.
If you replace the stock & handguards. This counts as 3 parts.
Fire control group (trigger, hammer, disconnector) would be 3 more making a total of 6 which I think is enough. Heard good news about Red Star. FCG not hard to change out. Hope this helps.
    Good Luck.

If your SLR95 has the factory muzzel break, there is a very good chance it already has a Gem Tech (US made) hammer, trigger and sear like mine did! The marking on mine was very faint, but I wasn't even looking for it and didn't notice it until I'd already removed it to replace!

If that is the case (US made fire control group is already in it) and you get a full furniture set, handguard, p-grip and stock, you'll be in compliance with a total of 6 compliance parts!

    Thanks guys!

    Kimber,

Where did gemtech make their marks? Can I see them without removing the FCG?

Thanks for the websites everyone. If anybody else thinks of anything, please feel free to suggest.

Also, Does anyone know how to remove the gas tube?

Gas tubes have a pin that has been pinged over. Drill the center a bit then drive it out with a hardned punch. Do not use the pin again. I've been told a nail makes a great replacement. Ping it over and file to fit.

My bad, I was refering to the gas piston.

The tube will twist but a padded vise and a large cresent wrench will help. Matter of fact mine wouldn't budge without the tools.

With the hammer up, I had to use a bore light and a magnifing glass ... but it can be seen! its printed (raised, not stamped) on the left side of the hammer (left as the rifle is shouldered) mine says:

    GTEC
    G2

It may make a difference too, that the original import name: (D.I.G. VA. D.C.I. VA.)has a line through it and above that, its stamped "Intrac Knox, TN."

I went with the original black plastic Bulgarian stock and US made pistol grip, also available from Global Trades ... and I used an ultimak US made front handguard sent to complete my US parts count so I could stick with the original Bulgarian Waffel mags ... which for some reason isn't what I've got pictured losing%20it.gif

Thanks guys! Right on about the gas tube. Will get a light & magnifier and attempt to see the hammer markings...

KIMBER, how do you like the ultimak?
