Which trigger for Christmas? timney/Jewell/Basix
My Dad would like to upgrade the tigger on his M700. I'd like to help out with that this year. Input would be great.

firedude,
The very best trigger for the Remington would be the Jewell, hands down. But he will be forever spoiled and he'll want to convert all of the rest of his triggers to Jewells. I think that they are overpriced but they are the best.
Avoid the Timneys at all costs. It isn't worth the aggrevation and poor quality control is the cause.
The second choice for aftermarket triggers would be the Shilens in my opinion.
Best of luck!0 -
I, on the other hand hav been very pleased with my Timneys, though they are on Rugers and a serious pain to install (have it done by a smith with machine tools). They break like a glass rod, no creep, no over travel, just very crisp. 0 -
Rifle Basix- has been a good trigger, easy to install, monkey proof, and it WORKS! [:D]

I have a Rem. 700, 22-250, bull bbl custom bench rest stock with a Unertl 20X Ultra Varmit, and it has a CANJAR trigger. Don't know if they make them any more but it has a smooth yet crisp set off point.
Any one have feedback on the CANJAR trigger??0
