Vintage Lyman? Press
Hope someone canhelp with the answer to this inquiry; Have been given a really old press that is orange, takes J style shell holders, has three stations but is not a turret type press and is treaded for the small dies. I believe it is a Lyman Ezy-Loader. Can anyone tell me about this Press and if it has any value. I have about eight sets of dies that fit it. The press has no handle, what would make for a good substitute? Anyone cater to the vintage reloader needs?

Sounds like a Truline Junior. This press can full length size and load
pistol calibers . It can only neck size and load rifle calibers.0 -
I saw a Tru-Line Jr. on eBay and it looked more like a turret press... and lighter duty than this one. This one has three shell holders installed, the left one and right one are "up front" with the right one being a priming station and the one in the middle sits to the back of the press. It looks like the support rods were blued originally, I think I've seen that before on really old press'. Thanks for the response, this is my first time on a forum and it seems like a good way to talk to people with the same interest.

i sold one a year ago , not much value, shipping was more than the press was worth , it weighed about 30 pounds 0 -
Maybe I am wrong but my guess is it is a C-H No. 333 3 station
"H" press. If it uses the 7/8" X 14 dies, it is not a Lyman Tru Line
Jr. . If this is a C-H 333 it will utilize 3 shell holders
at once. Shoters Bible # 70 (1979) shows it.0 -
They made a ALL AMERICAN Press a long time ago I use to have one and they were a great press BiggerHammer

Thank you to everyone who gave me their two cents worth on the press. Here is what I feel I can say with some certainty now about this press. It is indeed a Lyman "Ezy-Loader". It does hold three dies at once; all three holes are 7/8 x 14 BUT the two front ones have adapters in them to accept the smaller Lyman dies. The rear-center hole stays 7/8 and the several dies sets that were given to me with the press all have 7/8ths FL Dies, I suspect added after the fact...??? Anyway, here is an interesting aside: Lyman J series shell holders are held in place by a allen head screw, ever notice how the part of the shell holder that is down in the press has two alignment points? It appears the opening can face straight out or be angled to left. That is convenient for accessing the work station. Now the shell holder to the right has a little device that is spring loaded and allows a primer to feed into place (I don't have a primer feed, but I'm a fast study); that shell holder, with its spring device, can be positioned in just the one way.
I have not been able to determine the age but I do want to say I was very impressed with the Customer Support when I spoke to Lyman on the phone Friday. I won't be "pressing" the Ezy-Loader into service (pun intended) but, like BiggerHammer24, I have a All-American that I have started my reloading on and I am very happy with my setup and will continue to support Lyman with my future reloading needs (while I had them of the phone I purchased a J to X Shell Holder adapter and a 10 pack of decapping pins).
