Shipping firearms from Michigan - hassle for me
I sold a gun and then I went to UPS and FedEx .. and they say only licensed dealers can ship! No individual can ship a firearm ! Is this your understanding?
Any thoughts or ideas? Do I have to have a dealer send the gun "for an extra charge?" ..
Thanks much

I shipped one last week. You must declare it as "firearm for repair", as they won't accept one from a nonlicensee otherwise. Yes, it's a lie in your case, but it's legal.
And, you can only ship from a company customer service counter, not a mailing store. Handguns can only be shipped Next Day Air services, Adult Signature Required.

If it is a long gun, take it to the post office with a printout of their flyer on guns; anyone can ship via the post office if it is going to an FFL holder.
