Help with beretta AL 2

Dose anyone know how to get the metal forend cap off the wooden forend? I am wanting to refinish the wood on my gun but can"t get the metal forend cap off. thanks to those that reply, jar [?][?]

  jar, to take the metal off the wood you will have to drill out the rivet. Then slide the metal off the wood. If you do this you need to buy a new rivet from Beretta to replace it. I think a little tape is easyier.
