New press? What to buy

I have been looking for a press for some time. I don't mind going used. Dopes anyone have any suggestions. Use will be mainly .270 and .44 Mag/Special, probably around 25-50 rounds ata pop. Any sugestions? Can anyone tell me about the RCBS RockChucker? Thanks guys.

    RCBS OR HORNADY both are good presses , really for what you want just about any single stage press will work , buy good dies , a good book , scale ,or you may want to look at a kit , I know Hornady still sells them that way,,,and i guess RCBS still does too , like some thing along these lines

    I just picked up the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme from Natchez for 99.00 and it is one sweet press. You can load all the way up to Ultra Mag shells I believe. I broke my Lee resizing some military brass and the Rock Chucker just eats them up with ease.

    Forester Co-ax or Rockchucker. I will someday swap the rockchucker for the co-ax,..but right now it loads so straight I can't justify swapping it out.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    Hi Bill,in your search,don't overlook a complete Lyman kit,comes with almost everything you need to load with,it comes with either a T-Mag press or the Orange Crusher press,just my .02.

    Redding, Lyman, Hornady, Rcbs, Dillion all make excellent single stage presses. I have used nearly all of the above at one time or another but I keep going back to my RCBS Rockchucker. If you don't already have a scale, book, case chamfering tool, and the other essential needed to reload cartridges I would seriously consider buying one of the kits that most of the above sell. It will have just about everything that you need to get started. Natchez, Widerner's, Lock stock & Barrel, Graf's all sell the kits at discount prices. If your lucky enough to live near a Wallyworld that sells reloading supplies, that would be the lowest price of all. Jim

    You wont go wrong buying a used Rockchucker i bought an entire RCBS set used everything operates like new.My only advice that all can agrea on is not to by a lee annivesary set new or used, that was my first press and the diffrence is night and day.The leverage system takes alot less efort for resizing I found that to be a big plus when loading for my 300 weatherby.Anyway you wont be disapointed with a rockchucker or anything they make for that matter.Hope this helps.
