Walther P22
What are everyones thoughts on the walther P22, Im looking for a .22 that everyone from my parents, girlfriend and myself can enjoy. I really love the look of the walther, any PRO's and CON's I should know about?

It seems like somebody asks this question every week. The P22 is a good gun. Not as accurate as a Ruger Mark II or Browning Buckmark but it looks a lot better than either of those. The P22 does have some cool features. It comes with multiple front sights in different sizes, 2 different backstraps to fit different size hands, and it has a second safety on the side that locks with a key. Some people complain about jamming problems but I have never had any jams/misfeeds ect. Keep it clean and don't use high velocity ammo. 0 -

They are a good .22 pistol. Comes with the option of a 3.5" barrel, or a 5" barrel(you can get a combo). The back strap on the grip is interchangable(comes with a different arched piece) Has differnt blades for the front sight. The only thing about this pistol is that it was a little pickey when it comes to ammo. They feed very well with copper plated ammo. I like this model, its a lot of fun to shoot.

They're small, come in a variety of finishes, including "two-tone" chrome on black and olive drab. Have swappable sights, and swappable backstraps to fit different sized hands. Have the option of mini-combat "three dot" sights, which is kind of cute.
Barrel is easily swappable with a 5 inch bbl. The barrel is threaded on the end for easy attachment of a supressor or other gizmo. (I've seen fake suppressors for these for sale, which would certainly look cool, at least). There are a bunch of doo-dads available including scope mount and integral laser sight.
These have a reputation of being ammo-fussy, but reliable once well-broken in when using the right type of ammo.
While I wouldn't say the gun is a "toy", its not that far off. Its really on the small size if you have large (read average male) hands. Personally, for the same money, I'd rather have a Ruger .22 for just about any application.0 -
my son bought one and likes it (read his wife likes it)grip is a littel small for me but it works well. the barrel loosened up once but a little lock tite fixed that. 0
